Boon is a 2021 model making him a 5 year old and stands right at 15 hands tall. He has been with us for almost a year. Boon is the kind that everyone is looking for. Build like a tank and a nice dapple gray, and it doesn't take a lot of feed to keep him looking that way, Boon is an easy keeper.
Boon would be suitable for most any level of rider on the trails and in the arena. Most of his training has been done in Western tack but also does well in English tack. On the trails he goes wherever you point him through the water, over the logs and whatever else you might encounter on the trails. He has been ridden on the trails alone or in a group with no issues. When riding in a group he is a confident leader and a patient follower. Deer and turkeys running out of the brush don't bother him at all. In the arena he will lope a nice little circle both directions. Boon has a consistent trot and a smooth lope. Knows his leads and works well off seat and leg cues. Boon knows how to side pass up to the mounting block or he will even come up to stump out in the woods for you to get on. He has been ridden on the road some as well and is traffic safe. He has been desensitized to all kinds of tarps, flags, balls, whips, rain coats and you name it, he's probably seen it already.
Boon is up to date on all his vaccinations, hoof care, dental work and deworming.
