Meet WWR Rowdy Trino, affectionately known as Sampson. Sampson is a beautiful mix of ranchy, fancy, personable, and unique! He stands a perfect 15.2 hands and is 8 years old. His big, brown,  kind eyes are the type you can find yourself in. He has a big pretty hip and stands on strong athletic legs. Sampson offers a variety of skills from ranch work, trail riding, and foxhunting. Bred by the legendary Fred Gist and the famous Wagon Wheel Ranch, (Fred Gist was fundamental in preserving foundation Quarter Horse lines) Sampson is Ranching Heritage bred, offering a whole new field of opportunities with extra eligibility for competitions and trail events (this stamp can be seen on his AQHA papers). If you like an old school horse that exemplifies where AQHA started here he is!  Sampson is a versatile and skilled horse, excelling in various aspects of ranch work. He is experienced at doctoring cattle, sorting in alleys, penning back at the sale barn, gathering in big pastures, and loading cattle trucks. These tasks highlight his stamina, intelligence, and work ethic, making him an invaluable asset on any ranch. On the English side of things, Sampson is no slouch either. He has enjoyed days of foxhunting, hunter pace, and cross-country events, showcasing his agility and adaptability. His ability to transition seamlessly between different riding styles speaks volumes about his training and temperament.For pleasure riding, Sampson is a dream. He confidently crosses water, bridges, brush, bogs, and logs, making him an excellent trail companion. He remains calm and composed around dogs, traffic, and can handle any party trick you can think of. Whether it's dragging a tarp, sled, or log, pushing a yoga ball, packing a flag, or enjoying a breeze from a leaf blower, Sampson takes it all in stride. Sampson is incredibly easy to handle too. He is a dream  to saddle, catch, bridle, shoe, lead, load, and tie. This ease of handling, combined with his diverse skill set, makes Sampson a reliable and enjoyable companion for a wide range of activities, rider levels and riding styles! Sampson lopes with a natural collection on either lead and has a nice stop. He moves through his body fluidly and is soft in the bridle reins. His transitions from walk, trot, canter/lope are done by voice command and your seat. Sampson is light without being overly sensitive, this makes him easy to pilot! Sampson’s versatility extends beyond just his physical abilities. His calm demeanor and willingness to learn make him an excellent partner for both work and leisure. It doesn't matter to Sampson if he's done today's job before or not! He's going to give it his all, every time.  Sampson also has a few tricks up his sleeve! He'll side pass to the mounting block, fence, trailer fender, or log for easy mounting! Sampson will also lay down!  Sampson is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care, and worming.
