WH Hickory Magic, affectionately known as Ty, is a gorgeous 2015 model AQHA gelding standing 15h. 
Ty has been a fixture around our barn since the summer of 2024 and has been a jack of all trades since. He's taken beginners to cutting practices, has been hauled to sortings, worked as a turn back horse, has been the last minute back-up cross country mount, carried newbies around the ring at various ranch horse shows, and has given countless late night tipsy bareback rides through many campgrounds (!). 
He has so much experience teaching new and young riders the ropes and he would absolutely make a fantastic partner for someone looking to learn the ropes in the ranch versatility world, sorting, or cutting world. He's forgiving, straightforward, and most of all, honest. 
What's even better, is that he is the same horse whether you ride him once a week or seven days a week. If you're not too keen on chasing the show circuit, don't worry, Ty is just as happy to mosey on down the trail, go on camping trips, or just hack around the farm. 
In the saddle, Ty rides and handles how a seasoned, broke horse should. He pivots, spins, side passes, slides to a stop, has a sharp neck rein, works a gate, and will eat a cow. He also has a comfortable jog, flashy extended trot, and an easy-to-sit rocking horse lope. 
Ty is your stereotypical gelding - he is goofy, good-natured, people-oriented, steady, and reliable. 
He currently turns out in a small group of three other geldings where he fits in great and falls in the middle of the herd. He stalls in the evening and he is very well-mannered with no barn or stall vices.
