Spook In Town 2019 Black Gelding

If you’re looking for a gelding that is exceptionally trained, beautifully colored, and backed by an outstanding pedigree, meet Coal. Coal was raised by close friends of ours and developed through their reining horse program one where no steps are ever skipped. He boasts a plus-1 stop, a strong extended trot, and smooth, easy lead departures. Coal would be an excellent fit for an amateur or novice looking to get started in reining or ranch versatility events. He has been shown and has the experience in the arena to truly take care of his rider. Coal really shines in the ranch riding. He has placed Top 10 at the APHA World Show in Ranch Riding, and I also took him to an AQHA show where I won the Ranch Riding on him my very first time showing him. He is straightforward and easy to prepare at home and is stress free once you arrive at the show. He stays calm, steady, and willing making him incredibly easy and enjoyable to show. Outside the arena, Coal is just as solid. He is confident on the ranch and trail, easily crossing water, logs, ditches, and brush. He has a good, steady walk that makes him ideal for long days covering pasture. Coal truly is a ranch foreman’s dream; flashy, well-made, and always ready to go to work. He has been used to drag calves, sort, and gather several hundred head of cattle, and he does his job with confidence every time. At home, Coal is a total gentleman. He does well turned out or stalled and is a pleasure to be around. One of my favorite things about him is his manners, when you go in to feed, he backs away from his bunk and waits patiently while you put his hay in. He is never pushy and always respectful. He is stands quietly to be bathed, shod, and groomed. Coal has been a true gem to have in our barn, and we have genuinely enjoyed every minute of him being here. He is up to date on farrier needs and dental work. Please feel free to give us a call to come try Coal!
