Roger is a gorgeous, big-stout 6-year-old gelding standing right at 15 hands. He’s the kind of horse everyone is looking for—versatile, sure-footed, and extremely user-friendly. Roger has been hauled all over the country to team ropings, where we have primarily heeled on him, but he has also been hauled to jackpots on the head side and handles both jobs with ease. Outside the arena, he has been a true ranch horse from a young age. He excels at sorting cows and calves, working gates, dragging calves, pushing cattle, and doctoring, always staying calm and willing. He is the kind we trust enough to put our least experienced riders on, knowing he will take the very best care of them. On the trail, Roger is a true babysitter. He has been trail ridden through diverse terrain including southern Utah, Missouri, and Arizona, and confidently crosses water, logs, and rough country without hesitation. Roger is dog safe and traffic safe, and nothing seems to bother him. He has been ridden through Christmas parades by a 13-year-old girl, fully decorated and surrounded by loud music, banners, flags, crowds, and heavy traffic, and handled it all like a seasoned veteran.
