If there is a more stunning palomino pony with as big of a personality as Pretty Boy has, we sure haven’t found it! If you are looking for flashy, athletic, and safe all in a small package, look no further. Pretty Boy has been in our program since early fall of ’24 and we have had a blast developing his skills both under saddle and on the ground. Under saddle, Pretty Boy is responsive, eager to work, and tries hard to please his rider. In the arena, he displays easy upward and downward transitions and has the nicest even-strided canter that you could sit all day. He is a super expressive mover and has a good amount of suspension when asked to move out. He rides true to your leg and moves off your seat and leg pressure well. He rides on the bridle and accepts the bit nicely when asked. He also rides under English tack and has been lightly started over small cross rails. He shows great potential in the jumper ring and has the makings to be a fantastic partner in many of the Pony Club disciplines such as Eventing, Gymkhana, Western Dressage, or even Polocrosse! Pretty Boy loves the change of scenery that trail riding provides. He is confident out on the trail and has no issue crossing trail obstacles. Pretty Boy has been hauled to a couple local ranch horse shows, to sacking out clinics, practice ropings, sortings, and of course to many, many trailheads. Despite his own young age, we have used him numerous times to help start, halter break, and pony colts. He is strong to the horn and has a lot of heart and grit in him. One of our favorite qualities about Pretty Boy is his extremely loveable and positive disposition. He is always happy to see you walk in the barn, is always the first one to meet you at the gate, and tries to be everyone’s friend whether human, horse, or dog! Pretty Boy turns out during the day in a small group of geldings and falls right in the middle of the herd. He gets along well with everyone and doesn’t have a mean or aggressive bone in his body - he is all love, all of the time!
