“Nightlinger” is the perfect size quarter pony with all the looks, skills and experience! Friendly and personable, athletic and intelligent with a willing to please attitude! Mr. Nightlinger is a 7 year old quarter pony. He stands 13 hands tall. He is a beautiful black color, has a great shapey conformation and is sweeter than a puppy dog. Within the past year that we have owned “Nightlinger” he has always been that safe, gentle pony with a loving attitude every time he greets you. His size is exceptional. He is small enough for the little first time beginners to be confident enough to ride but big enough for the teenagers and small adults to feel comfortable riding as well. His size declares him as a pony but to us he’s just a little horse. He is built and put together just like a Quarter Horse. He moves and travels with the athleticism of a Quarter Horse as well. He also has the sweet, gentle attitude and pleasing demeanor of your favorite gelding horse and is completely unlike a rotten pony. Konnor has rode Nightlinger to coon hunt off of on numerous nights. Gunfire, lights and the dogs do not phase this guy and he has been a trusty mount for both our son and his friends when they need a ride to go along too. Nightlinger is a coon hunter by night and a squirrel hunter by day. Again, he can handle the guns, leading wild and rambunctious dogs, going through thick brush and on risky trails with grace and agility. Between all the hunting and leisurely trail rides, Mister has a vast amount of trail riding experience. He is strong and surefooted on the trail. From the roughest and rockiest to the thickest and wettest, he has seen and conquered it all. It doesn’t get too steep or too deep for this guy! He is no stranger to hard work and will always do what you ask with a willing attitude. Nightlinger is broke to drive the very best. The kids have drove him to their grandparents house down the road, through the farms and even all the way to town to get a haircut and an ice cream. He is very content with walking on a loose rein with his head down but when asked, he will pick up and trot. He has a very sporty, flashy way of going with a nice headset. Nightlinger is also no stranger to ranch life. He has been used to check fences and cattle and to help move, sort and work cattle as well. He has been used to pasture rope calves off of too. Nightlinger has also had some experience in the indoor and outdoor arenas. He has a nice, smooth lope and can lope circles both ways. He neck reins and has a great stop as well. He will also back up when you ask him. Nightlinger stands to be tacked up and mounted and is always patient and gentle. Our little girl has also loved riding Nightlinger. She loves trail riding him and always feels safe and secure on him. She loves his trot and lope and has even tried practicing running barrels and poles on him. Nightlinger is a joy to be around. He is clean and quiet in the stall, he is easy to catch and gets along great with other horses. He is used to tarps, whips, guns, pulling all sorts of things and just about any other commotion you can think of. Nightlinger stands tied quiet and patiently, he stands for the farrier and loads and hauls great. He’s been hauled many times to go hunting, day riding and such. He’s been to and through town many times and is completely traffic safe. We cannot say enough great things about Mr. Nightlinger. He is patient, kind, friendly and gentle, both on the ground and in the saddle. He is forgiving to the rider if they ask him to do something incorrectly. He does not get frustrated or impatient. He is truly tolerant and laid back regardless of who is riding him. Nightlinger is “that” pony that everyone looks for.
