Established in 1996 and based out of Cowpens, SC, Chris Roux Reining Horses proudly raises, trains, and shows reining horses. Chris Roux Reining Horses represents a 30-year dedication to the quarter horse and reining industries. Throughout this time, Chris has qualified horses to most major event finals, accomplished many top 10 finishes, and earned an NRHA Reserve World Champion title. Active in AQHA, NRHA, and NRCHA, the Roux family continues to build upon their tradition of excellence.When the family is not training and showing, they work to promote their stallion, Steady Smoking Gun, and raise beef cattle. While their focus is predominantly training and showing, Chris, his wife, Sara, and their boys (Colby- 13, Cash- 12, and Clay- 8) occasionally offer exceptional horses to the public through Roux Family Horses and Buckaroux Brothers Pony Co.The Roux family is excited to offer their unique gelding, Cisco, at the 2026 Southern Belle Classic.
